Rick Bader gathering cattle
Teacup Ranch consists of 200 sections of desert of Arizona.  It runs in elevation from
3000 feet to 5500 feet which allows us to have both summer and winter grazing. Water
is supplied by windmills and water holes which are constantly maintained. The cattle
have a variety of desert grasses, brouse and trees as a natural feed supply.

The ranch is a cow/calf operation of 800 brangus cross cows.  These cattle do very well
in this country and we maintain a very high calf crop each year.  We wean and sell
calves in the late spring and again in the fall.  The best heifers are kept as replacements
to insure the quality of our herd.

When we are fortunate enough to have a wet year we are able to pasture cattle for other
ranchers.  We have pastured as many as 20,000 steers during the winter in an
exceptionally good year.  We normally take cattle by the head per month, but have taken
them on the gain if conditions are right.   If you are looking for pasture, please contact us.
